About

Making responsible AI ordinary.

Social biases don't disappear when you put them in a model. They scale. And the people who are burdened by them are almost never the people in the room when the system gets built.

ORAI is an independent lab that builds public tools for responsible AI. We started with a simple observation: AI models are benchmarked on performance constantly. Almost nobody was testing what those models actually do to people. Who do they quietly fail? Whose voice can't they hear?

That question came from public health training in population-level harm assessment. Trust in AI should come from open methodology, signed reports, and reproducible results, the same way we got airline safety ratings, food labels, and credit scores.

Compliance is the minimum. Keeping people safe is the point.

We follow the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and ISO/IEC 42001. Our probe set is open source and versioned.
